Reminders for 2021:

PE is on Monday afternoons - Please send your child to school with comfy, suitable clothing and footwear for this. 

Forest school is on Thursday afternoons - Please send your child to school with weather appropriate clothing and wellies on wet days, you can also leave these at school if you would prefer. 

Welcome to Beech Class! Beech Class has children in Year 3 and Year 4. Staff that are working in Beech class are Miss Brook (Teacher), Katie Goodall (Teaching assistant) and Callum Ashton (Teaching assistant). We follow the primary national curriculum which we then adapt to suit the needs of our learners. We use a variety of teaching methods and approaches including sensory and play-based learning. Pupils will be engaging in termly topics which will be- All about me, Disney, Space, People that help us, At the zoo and Olympics. 

Beech class engage in daily communication sessions that focus on developing pupil’s communication skills such as interacting with others, response, listening and use of expressive language. Pupils forms of communication are verbal, signing and using symbols. 

Children are given opportunities to work individually, one-to-one with supporting adults, in pairs, small groups and whole class teaching. The children are encouraged to be as independent as possible. 

Beech class love outdoor learning during their weekly forest school sessions on Thursday afternoon exploring our outdoor environment. We aim to provide our children with plenty of opportunities to learn and develop both social, emotionally and academically.
