Reminders for 2021:

PE is on a Wednesday - Please send your child to school with their PE kit.

We currently are a class of 11 year 9 students with a range of learning needs. Children are encouraged to be more independent learners.  Children have their own lockers to promote independence.  They are responsible for their own keys and belongings.

We have the support of two teaching assistants throughout the week.  One for three days a week and the other two days per week. One of our children also has 1.1 support throughout the week.

We are taught by specialist teachers for; Maths, English, Science, PE and Design Technology.  This prepares us for our transition into Key stage 4.  The remaining lessons are taught by our class teacher: Kelly Ferran.

Our curriculum is differentiated to ensure all children reach their full potential.  We link career opportunities within lessons as much as possible to fully prepare our pupils for life after Rigby Hall.  We also provide careers opportunities during our vocational morning, which is based on careers based learning/qualifications.  Our vocational morning offers the choice of either; sports, photography, catering and hospitality, mechanics and vehicle maintenance, or horticulture and animal care for a vocational study.

We often go out on trips to consolidate our learning.  These trips support learning and provide us with real life experiences
