Friends of Rigby Hall
|
Everyone associated with the school is a member: parents and carers of the current and former students, all staff and Governors and any adult with an interest in the school. |
The core members meet regularly throughout the year to organise activities to enable the children and families attending Rigby Hall to meet and enjoy a range of activities together. This can be supported for parents and families who can feel isolated as their children go to school away from their local area and they are unable to meet ‘at the school gate’.
‘Friends’ other key role is to raise funds to enable the school to do activities which enhance the student’s learning. This year, for example, the group has agreed to fund a group coming in to work with the students during our Arts ‘week’. ‘Friends’ also contribute to larger fund raising projects such as raising money to replace the mini buses.
Through the work of the ‘Friends’ Rigby Hall has a profile in the local community which helps other groups and the local community to have more understanding about the school and its work.
The Friends of Rigby Hall School is a registered charity.
