Beech

Welcome to Beech Class! Beech Class has children in Year 3 and Year 4. 

We follow the Primary National Curriculum which we then adapt to suit the needs of our children. We use a variety of teaching methods and approaches including sensory and play-based learning. Pupils engage in their learning through termly topics.

Beech class participate in daily communication sessions that focus on the further development of pupil’s communication skills such as; interacting with others, responses, listening and the use of expressive language. Pupils are able to access their learning and communicate through the use of signing, symbol support and also verbal prompts and discussions.

Children are given opportunities to work individually, one-to-one with supporting adults, in pairs, small groups and as a whole class. The children are encouraged to be as independent as possible. 

Beech class love outdoor learning during their weekly forest school sessions and exploring our outdoor environment. We aim to provide our children with plenty of opportunities to learn and develop both social, emotionally and academically.
